Alumni Give Back

Montevallo Mask Making

As Montevallo students return to campus in a few weeks, we’re doing everything we can to keep them and our entire UM family safe. Through the generosity of the UMNAA, every student, faculty and staff member, and members of our alumni boards are being provided with one cloth mask (a total of 5,000 masks).

Students, however, will need extra masks to ensure they always have access to a clean mask between washes. The masks donated will be available for students to pick up on campus as needed along with a card explaining best practices for using and sanitizing their new masks.

That’s where you come in! We’re looking for donors and sewists to help us provide extra masks for UM students.

We met our initial goal of 500 masks as school started and have added 260 more in the month of September. If you are a maker or know a maker, we need your help! Help us reach 1,000 masks by the end of October!
